The foundation for this winner is an entirely new aluminum frame with a hydro-formed backbone and a new tapered aluminum alloy swing arm. The new frame has revised geometry and increased strength to go with a substantial weight reduction. Equipped with a new free breathing lightweight stainless steel performance exhaust, and new CRF styled plastic with specially extended front and rear fender, the Pro Stock 125 presents a totally updated and aggressive look for the class. The time proven oil and air cooled SOHC four-stroke power plant in the PRO STOCK 125 engine breathes through a new cylinder head, large intake, and carburetor. But the biggest news in the PRO 125 engine is the completely new and re-engineered Team Cooper SCR® four-speed transmission. We have provided the rider with gear ratios that are perfectly spaced through careful computer analysis. We have eliminated the hole-shot killing drop in engine RPM when shifting from first to second gears. Also gone is the power robbing overdrive fourth gear. Second and third gears utilize completely redesigned sliding gears and shift dogs for a phenomenal improvement in the durability under tough race conditions. Coupled with new materials, design, and vastly improved manufacturing processes the transmission should prove to be a tremendous improvement over all previous designs. To complement the new gear-set we also revised the shifter drum and forks to enhance the new transmission.
